The Unique Contribution of the Registered Nurses
was developed by a national committee as a discussion guide for nurses, the public, politicians and other stakeholders to describe the essential and unique contributions made by registered nurses in today's health care system. The national consultation process has begun, and CNA will publish a revised discussion paper integrating feedback received. Feedback is requested from organizations representing registered nurses, CNA's associate/affiliate/emerging members and other national nursing groups, as well as individual nurses by 28 February 2003.

Good for the Canadian Nurses Association!
There must be sufficient registered nurses because ONLY an RN may practice nursing autonomously.
LVN/LPNs and nursing assistants are usually terrific caregivers who may assist the RN.
