child advocacy

I'm a new nurse in the NYC area, and I've always been interested in child advocacy and abuse prevention. I'm looking for some good resources to help me reach out either nationally or locally. I'd like to volunteer somewhere, but I don't have many connections in that realm here. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thank you!

Re: child advocacy

Do you think you would be interested in being a Court Appointed Special Advocate? This group is pretty well known in my area and they are a national group. It might be worth looking into.
