I'm not breastfeeding...heck I'm not even female. But, I'd love to have a copy of breastfeeding rights to hand out to new mommies. Is there a place where I can get these on a card that will fit in a pocket?

1. Do you breastfeed in public Yes I did, with all 4.
If yes answer the following questions, if not why?
2. Where do you breastfeed when you are in public? (Bathroom stall, nursing room provided by the mall, the closest bench, etc.) Nearest bench, nursing room provided by where ever I am, etc.
3a. Do you cover up when you breastfeed? Yes, I am polite.
If no:
3b. have you ever been asked by an employee of the store you were in or any other stranger to cover up? Nope.
4. Have you ever been asked to stop breastfeeding or leave? Nope.
5. Do you know your rights to breastfeed in public? Yes.
6. Would you be interested in carrying a copy of your breastfeeding rights by LAW to pass out to any one that harasses you? I have one. But thanks!

I breastfed all 4 kids - each one longer then the one preceeding. My first I was not very educated and gave formula too - at 6 months he started balking at my breast and only wanted the bottle. My second didn't get a bottle for that reason and I nursed him for 18 months. My 3rd I nursed her for 3 years and my last little guy, who is 6, I nursed for 3 1/2 years.

1. Do you breastfeed in public Yes, I also eat in public too.
If yes answer the following questions, if not why?
2. Where do you breastfeed when you are in public? (Bathroom stall, nursing room provided by the mall, the closest bench, ect). Whatever looks cozy but I usually find a secluded area or turn my back to the crowd.
3a. Do you cover up when you breastfeed? Y/N. No ususally. If I cover up then I really catch the attention of the crowd (exception was church once, did cover up there). When I cover up, baby freaks out and keeps pulling the cover up off.
If no:
3b. have you ever been asked by an employee of the store you were in or any other stranger to cover up? No. Usually I will find a mommy (ie MOtherhood maternity) or child/family friendly place to feed. I have gone into dressing rooms so that my toddler is near by while I feed the baby.
4. Have you ever been asked to stop breastfeeding or leave? Nope
5. Do you know your rights to breastfeed in public? Yup
6. Would you be interested in carrying a copy of your breastfeeding rights by LAW to pass out to any one that harasses you?Would love it.

1. Do you breastfeed in public y/n? Yes, with all 3 kids I did
If yes answer the following questions, if not why?
2. Where do you breastfeed when you are in public? (Bathroom stall, nursing room provided by the mall, the closest bench, ect) Closest place I could find. When you have a hungry baby it doesn't much matter. Sometimes I could find a lounge or it would be in a restaurant etc.
3a. Do you cover up when you breastfeed? Y/NYES ALWAYS! LOL!
If no:
3b. have you ever been asked by an employee of the store you were in or any other stranger to cover up? Y/N
4. Have you ever been asked to stop breastfeeding or leave? Y/NNO NEver
5. Do you know your rights to breastfeed in public? Y/NI probably used to, but my youngest is 4 now. I think nursing moms are allowed to bf in public.
6. Would you be interested in carrying a copy of your breastfeeding rights by LAW to pass out to any one that harasses you? Y/NI sure would have then!

California Civil Code 43.3
43.3. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a mother may
breastfeed her child in any location, public or private, except the
private home or residence of another, where the mother and the child
are otherwise authorized to be present.
This could easily be printed on a business sized card and lamented.
Here is a link to the others states as well as breastfeeding mothers rights (such as in the workplace and jury duty): http://www.ncsl.org/programs/health/breast50.htm

It doesn't have to be printed on a card for that to be true.
