Lightbulb Advice much appreciated

Hello out there,

I don't know how much anyone can really help me but i figure i came to the right place. I am not a nurse but i hate to see my favorite nurse too be, losing momentum. Any advice would be much appreciated. my friend's name is laura, she lives in texas, my name is bobby, i live california. she just finished her first semester in a master's level nursing program in texas - she loves it and is doing great. She has no prior nursing experience but does have a B.A. in international business. She currently works at the corporate office of a retail store there and yes....cannot wait until she is gone. Fortunately, the job pays well and she is able to simultaneously pay for school. The problem is, they are laying off people and she fears that she may be next. I feel her getting frustrated and I can't stand to see her down. Would anyone happen to have any advice or options that i may suggest to her. She would love to get closer to the medical profession while in school, however, we are having a difficult time figuring out what might be available for her with her qualificaitons. I feel pretty helpless over here and am not sure how to help her....if i had money, it would be in the mail already. Sorry such an odd message, but i am trying to act fast so that she can do the same. Any advice or information that anyone may have would be much appreciated.

thank you,
bobby
