graduated 4 years ago

I graduated four years ago from lpn school and have only taken the nclex once and failed:cry:. I never went back to try to take it. All my friends are telling me to go back and take the test, Sometimes I get motivated and sometimes I just say ugh forget it. Is there any one out there who waited awhile like myself? I know there may not be anyone but I figured I will ask. So I am going to start studing I have the orange Saunders book that I was going to study from. Is there any advice on how I should study?

Thanks everyone!

I graduated over 15 years ago with a BSN and in 2010, decided to go back into the nursing field.

I, too, have days like you do...feeling unmotivated to study, information overload, etc. etc. I say don't give up and go for it. Having completed nursing school was a big hurdle. Passing the NCLEX exam...is the culmination of all those years in nursing school and opportunities for new beginnings.

Currently, I'm using Hurst online and find it quite beneficial. I lack content and Hurst helps me in that aspect. After watching each section, I refer to Marlene's book Hurst Reviews: Pathophysiology Review, then Exam Cram, Saunders (for more content reinforcement - I need LOTS of CONTENT since my brain hasn't been with nursing in years. Ask me about stocks, bonds and mutual funds, I can answer those questions :banghead: readily).

I also use flash cards, NCLEX RN 10,000, Saunders Q&A and answer approx 50-100 questions daily. You may not need all these resources. But in my case, I need all the help I can get to pass this next time (I took nclex RN June 2011 and failed).

Good luck!

I also graduated 4 years age, and I 've taking the Nclex-RN several time and failed. I am also using Hurst review, Saunders and Kaplan online. you have enough books to pass this test. I usually read Saunder 5th ed is the same as any Saunder book. I read Content sometime first in the morning and do lot of questions. Do not give up.

I graduated LVN school in 2010 and failed the nclex-pn 3 times. Feeling discouraged is normal but you eventually get over it when you realize you worked hard in school, you graduated and you're only ONE step away!

I received my ATT papers last week and I started studying right away.

My study materials:

- Exam Cram 3rd Edition

- Kaplan Strategies

- LaCharity PDA

Have faith! You can do it!

I graduated in May of 2010. I failed the NCLEX several times before i passed it. I just recently passed on July 31. So don't give up. You can do this. I was about to give up also, but i didnt. I started back up studying about two months ago. I did lots of questions. I used Saunders, NCLEX 4000, and the last three weeks I bought a 3 week subscription to NCSBN (learning Extension). Did all those questions. Just practice questions and read every rationale. You can do this! I will be praying for you.

I graduated 3 years ago from lpn school & failed the nclex 3 times:crying2: Within that time I had my fourth child. I took the Kaplan online review course twice, Exam Cram, and most recently the Feuer Nursing Review Course...Each time I took the exam I got all 205 questions. With a baby in pampers, a teenager going through puberty, and two other children in between. I'm finding it almost impossible to get the two or four hours of studying for the nclex exam. Somedays I want to give up, but something keeps telling me to hang in there and keep the faith. You are not alone. God will see us through Jeremiah 29:11 I hold on to & keep in my heart...:heartbeat
