Will I be able to help with the autopsies?

I am in RN school and will be done in December. I am very interested in forensics but I am more interested in being able to help with the autopsies and all. Is that something I can do as a forensics nurse or no????

Default Re: Will I be able to help with the autopsies?
I am not a forensic nurse. That being said I recently attended a forensic medicine conference and a Medical Examiner mentioned to me that there are some ME's that use nurses to assist with autopsies. She mentioned the largest problem with ME's hiring nurses is the large pay cut.
