How Do I Become a Forensic Nurse/Role of the Forensic Nurse

hello everyone,
forensic nursing is something ive been interested in for a very long time...ive been reading some of the posts.......i see that some nurses work in the ER...is that the only place you can be ??
And i also read that you should have ED experience....i grduated nursing school a few months ago...i got a job in a hospital on a med surg floor and i absolutely hated it...i lasted 2 months...so now im thinking of just following my gut..will i be able 2 start in forensic nursing without the experience???

Okay so I am still in my prerequisites for nursing at my college that I attend.I have to actually do 4 more sciences before I get to my clinical and also other subjects and I was thinking of minoring in Forensics is that good idea or should I wait to i get to my MSN to do so...But i think that i should go for it.

I have been an LPN for 2 years now, with plans to go on to become an RN. I have been in interested in forensics for some time now, but never dreamed that it could be part of nursing! The info posted here has been extremely helpful and encouraging to me. Thanks!

I have an MSN, and got my AS in paralegal studies last summer. The final educational step for me is a certification in forensic nursing- probably from Kaplan. But how do I go about getting a job?
