I've searched previous posts but didn't come up with much. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Forensic Studies programs offered by either Mount Royal College or Seneca College in Canada. I`m still trying to find my niche in nursing but presently work in a correctional facility. I find the course outlines really interesting but also want to take courses that will be useful career-wise. It`s a big investment, and I may or may not be reimbursed by my nursing association.

Depends on where you live but there is a Forensics Program at Trent University. It is a Bachelor of Science, but I do know a few students in there that want to do Forensic Nursing and they have done some placements at Peterborough Regional Health Center. I am pretty sure one of the faculty at Fleming College in Peterborough is also a Forensic Nurse. Look into the area and the hospital. I'll come back and try and find the name of the nurse they did the placement with, but I can not remember at the moment.
