I'm currently taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Microbiology. I received a B in A&P 1, B in Human Development and A's in all other required courses. I just went to a TEAS test orientation at SCF and it seems as though that test barely matters at all. If I am unable to get into SCF I would like to have some sort of back-up plan. I understand that Edison places a good amount of signifcance on the HESI test. Can anybody tell me what that test entails? How much does your GPA matter for Edison? Though none of the Nursing Educational staff at SCF will say what the real cut off GPA is for entering students, it seems that if you do not have a 4.0 or something very close to that it is near impossible to get into the program. When you apply at Edison do you apply to only one campus, how many students do they take per campus, do you have to currently be a student to apply to the nursing program, and do you have to have completed all gen ed requirements for Edison before applying to the nursing program? These are some of the questions that the Edison website did not have answers to. I know this is a matter of opinion, but I'd also like to know which program you think is easier to get into and which program you personally think is better. Thanks so much, I always appreciate the help!

- Aug 31, '11 by BeagleBabeI've heard Edison is not accredited. Ask them tough questions before you enroll. I also want to get into SCF. If I don't make the cut, I'm planning to BSN at USF or LPN from SCTI and then do SCF for RN. I love SCF.
- Aug 31, '11 by patricia0809Edison is fully accredited for their adn program. I'm a nursing student now. Their Bsn program has not received accreditation yet because its a new program. By the time I graduate they will be. Your best bet it going to the nursing department at Edison and get the information you need, because you will never get the facts. If u have general questions, I don't mind helping
- May 22, '12 by malenurseFlI know this is an old post but, if you are still here I'd like to help you. Scf takes roughly 80 students per year for the basic R.n. program. Applications have been steadily increasing every year. One of the reasons they did away with the waiting list. I hear they had over one thousand qualified applicants last year. Edison uses a points program. Edison.edu has all the information you need to answer your questions. Good luck!
- Apr 14 by gertie1965It is NOT TRUE that SCF has 1000 applications for the nursing program!!! There may be 1000 students in the college in pre-nursing classes. There are about 300 applications for each admission period. Go talk to the people in the nursing department - they will take the time to answer your questions.
