    Hello!
    My interview went well.. it seemed more of a "meet and greet" vs. a real interview, although I was asked 2-3 standard interview questions. My interview was one-on-one with a professor.. she was extremely nice and gave me lots of good info. It didn't last nearly as long as I thought it would be, and she let me choose my own short essay topic instead of assigning it. Did you have yours in-person? I live in Washington state so I'm glad I was able to do this via Skype.. I was offered an interview at UNF as well, but declined because of the cost of traveling without a guaranteed acceptance.

    Wow the in-person interview was nothing like that. It was a group interview with 3-4 other applicants and 2 faculty. It was quite formal and we were asked many interview-style questions, then assigned an essay topic. It wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, but the group dynamic is always a bit awkward, especially when we were all on one side of the table and they were on the other, going from question to question. It definitely wasn't conversational at all.

    Yrs it wasn't bad at all. It was one faculty member and 3 applicants. She asked 3 questions and then assigned our essay. I was nervous and there was no reason to be. It wasn't as intense as job interviews. Do y'all know anybody that already attends the school? I guess this is the waiting period which is so intense. Every second I'm waiting for a letter. I hope everyone did well and we can be attending the same time :-)

    UF actually does not do interviews. Surprising, right? It's great to have one less interview to stress about but at the same time it makes all the details of my application that much more significant.

    I have an interview with UNF on March 8th. I've read on this site that UNF's interviews are more formal than JU. JU was pretty laid-back as far as interviews go. The two interviewers were both faculty members and asked a series of prepared questions. They ended it with an essay question.

    Sounds just like mine, except in-person! i agree - def was not as intense as a job interview. i don't know anyone who goes to JU.. however, my sis (RN) used to work at Shands and knew a number of JU grads who all had nothing but positive experiences while in school. apparently JU also has a very good reputation (the program itself as well as their graduates) with the hospitals/facilities in the surrounding areas. i hate the waiting game!

    Hi fellow BSN hopefuls...I had my interview for the Second Degree program two weeks ago. I think it went well, but who knows! My concern is more so regarding my grades. Wondering if anyone knows when we are supposed to get our acceptance or denial letters? I can barely stand the wait anymore!

    Yes the waiting game is no fun at all. We have until the end if march to receive an acceptance/ denial letters. I'm thinking any day because its between almost 2 weeks since the interviews have stopped. I'm so hopeful that soon I can check the mail box and have an acceptance letter. I wish everyone good luck!! I have a buddy over there now and he loves it. He said if you stay on top of your game you will succeed. Are any of you guys just going to school full time or balancing a job and school?

    i think im going to see how the first term goes and then maybe try to start volunteering or working per diem at a hospital if i can find something.. i will definately not be working full-time plus school.. the ABSN programs seem to go pretty quick so it makes me nervous focusing much time on anything other than school-related work! what about you?
