Hello, I'm currently filling out the application for the deadline of June 1st. I want to apply for the nursing program in the spring of 2013. However, I still have to finish one last semester of pre-reqs in the fall, Anat & Phys 2 and microbiology. I currently have a 3.75 but I am still missing the final grades for 3 of my classes to be calculated in, but I know two of them are A's. I'm just wondering if I will or will not be able to apply this year because I still have that last semester. I'm worried that after the semester I'll Just be sitting around for a year while I wait for the next application deadline. Idk what to do. :[
All of the pre-req's must be completed by the application deadline in order to be considered.
  2. I have a question that maybe one of you can answer. So HCC already has my high school transcripts (I just turned them in a few weeks ago) and I just turned in my transcripts from my 2 previous colleges that I attended. I noticed on the checklist for the nursing application, it says that transcripts must accompany the application. Do I still have to attach transcripts to the app if the school has them?

In my opinion not literally, because the application provides the physical address that you need to send them to. So physically attaching a second copy of all your transcripts would be redundant and in excess.

OK. I just want to be sure that I don't miss anything or do anything incorrectly and delay the process any. Thanks for the input.

  5. Ok, so I dropped off my nursing app this morning!! Here goes the wait Crossing my fingers for all of you!!
  6. so...i guess i'll join the fray. i myself just dropped off my nursing program application for hcc-dm spring 2013. i personally, due to a particularly disappointing final exam score in my microbiology lecture, have about a 3.5 gpa (+/- 0.2). i'm relatively confident, but painfully aware that i am not at "the head of the class" in this application process. now...the fun part - waiting.

by +/- 0.2 you mean you could have a 3.7? that wouldn't be too bad at all...
  8. Ok question for all (since HCC's helpdesk isn't open as I write this) ... where do I go to see which transcripts HCC has received? On Facts.org? Or in Hawknet? I've looked around Hawknet already to no success...

Have you checked Webadvisor? Look under the transcripts and documents received links.

Yes, I've been in WebAdvisor. Under Communication: My Documents I see a form that Financial Aid is requesting but that's it. In terms of Transcripts, I see a link that says Transcripts, Transcript Request, and Transcript Request Status. But I see nothing that says "Documents Received..." is there such a link and am I overlooking something here? I've attended several schools and have sent several transcripts HCC's way. I am in Orlando right now so I don't have the luxury of going to HCC in person about this... :\
