    Does anyone know of scholarships with some of the local hospitals for committing to work there after graduation? If so, how and where I can find out more about them. Also what is the deadline for financial aid for the spring 2013 term. Thanks!

    Just logged into WebAdvisor and it shows Nursing docs received!! Yay! However, like others have mentioned, HS transcripts, HCC app and Nursing Prereqs not received. I'm sure they'll fix that soon. I am just glad to see some progress in the updating process!

    See post #131 on this thread, Page 14. Brandon Hospital appears to be one. Just do the math though when you try to determine if their offer is worth it.

    thank you for the info. Just doing my research now to see what the deadlines are to apply for financial aid for the Jan 13 class with fingers crossed i get in. With being a mom of 4, I hope they just don't look at income for financial aid. I would love not to get out of school with huge student loans again.

    Just want to make sure I understand where everyone is going to check their documents. Are you looking under web advisor, my documents, or is there another area you are checking? So far all I have listed are my financial aid documents. I checked before I turned in my application and they said they had my official high school transcript. HCC is the only other school I have been to.

    Also - just curious - Anyone in summer classes? If so what class. I just finished Intro to Religion. I am trying to decide what to take for the rest of the summer. I only have a few classes left for my AA and I don't want to finish it until my last semester of the nursing program.

    Yes, I'm looking at My Documents.

    I'm in Summer classes but not AA-related; I got my AA in 2001 with my BA in 2003. So I'm an oldie compared to everyone else I'm sure. ^_^

    And why would you want to postpone finishing the AA when you can (maybe, you tell me?) finish it by December of this year? What advantage is there in waiting?

    I think I might have you beat at being an oldie. I graduated High School in 1990, but was unable to finish college at that time. My HCC transcript starts in 1991 LOL.


    The reason I don't want to rush my AA is all of the changes in Fin Aid out there. I will already have to appeal after this Fall semester for haveing too many credits. Also I was laid off after 12 years on my job, so I am looking into some of the education benifits available for people who are displaced workers and it is better not to already have a degree.


    So just curious, but what class are are you in? OKay to say MYOB - I am not easily offended.

    hi all, my first time posting and I am learning a lot from you all. I applied for next spring and hopefully by mid-August we should know if we are accepted or not. I am praying that I will. good luck.

    You do have me beat , I graduated HS in 1999, oldies FTW. ^_^

    I'm in 2 IT classes this semester. Let's just say despite my prior degrees I REALLY like school and learning a little about everything.

    Welcome moneek. Do you know your prereq GPA?
