You should only be sending in your confirmation of a seat and a $38 check to Admissions. -

- May 24, '12 by hbedlingYes, that is all correct. You know originally when I sent my info back, I had inadvertently left out the signed drug test form. They sent me an email stating that they got my acceptance form and the check but did not receive the signed drug form and that I had until the 30th to mail or drop it off. Yikes, just when I thought I had dotted my I's and crossed my T's! Needless to say, I mailed it out right away. Don't make the same mistake as me!!! That could have cost me my seat in the program!!
Must send Back before the 30th

May 25, '12 by brandeekinsI got an email today that Brandon Hospital partners with HCC to offer scholarships to trade full ride tuition/books for working 2 years and a guaranteed job. I would love to work there, since it is so close to home...
Basically, it is limited in number, and it goes on WIA (Workforce Innovation Act - for unemployed/displaced workers) qualifications. I don't know if it was sent to everyone (especially the new acceptees), and if you didn't get it I can forward the info if you like.
Unfortunately the info session is next Thursday. I leave for my sister's wedding on Wednesday! Ugh. I sent back an email asking if I could get the info another way, fingers crossed I get a reply! - May 25, '12 by k.2012I got the same email. And I'd actually consider it, though I'd be a little nervous promising to work somewhere for two years...but the incentive is pretty nice. I don't qualify for WIA though so I'm pretty sure it counts me out.

May 25, '12 by talie04I also received the email today, too bad I can't attend the information session on Thursday since I'll be at work. I think it's nerve racking too, K.2012, to work for two years, especially if you don't know if you want to stay in FL after graduation. But great opportunity for those interested. I'm excited though that they referred us as Nursing students in the email! lol No longer applicants....can't wait to start school!brandeekins and k.2012 like this.
