  1. 85 is competitive, 90 is better. I got in with 91 first try
  2. Hoping for Lee but Charlotte would be option #2. I just want to get in. And Summer would be my choice as well. A friend of mine just got into summer with a 79. She had a 3.9 gpa, all prerecs finished but didnt score so hot on the Hesi. She said it was hard without paper and a pen. her GPA saved her! I guess for me this Hesi test has to save me! lol
Another question about the Hesi. You can only take it twice (30 days apart) once a year?
If I take it August 2012, then October 2012, can I take it again (If needed) In January 2013? Or do I have to wait for my "year" to be over August 2013?

  3. I've been reading all of the comments before I actually joined Allnurses. Congrats!
To get a 90 or above. I have to ace apI and II, Mirco and Statistics. Which is going to be hard to conquer because I have a 14 month old that requires so much attention. I drink coffee at 10 at night just to stay up til 2:00am to study!

I got into Charlotte with a 74, which...is really embarrassing. I had a really low GPA because of my C in statistics and my C in A&P2. I didn't have nutrition finished, but I scored well on the HESI. I took it twice and got the same score twice! The first time I didn't study, the second I studied my problem areas and did worse on the areas I did well on on the first exam! If I would have scored one point higher I would have had a 79 when applying, but I still got in!

I don't know how many times you can take the HESI each year. That's something you should ask at your orientation session.
  5. I see a lot of people commenting on taking Statistics... I dont have that on my advisement sheet of classes I need to take to get into the nursing program at Edison State. Am I missing something?? Also, congrats to all that have been accepted!! Keep us posted on how its going.
  6. Hi,

I am currently living in the state of GA & looking into the LPN-RN program at Edison, applying in October. Does anyone know how competitive that program is, not the basic? Also, does anyone know the scores that have been accepted?

    Thank you!

Edison State College - Nursing Program This link has all of the information for the Edison nursing programs. The admissions requirements are the same for each basic program. The two math classes listed are statistics and college algebra. I didn't take college algebra, so they used my statistics score, you only need to take one or the other, but many bachelors degrees require statistics.
  8. Hi,

Edison State only accepts during the Summer and Fall semesters and only 24 seats each for each campus. From what you can read on this thread, it's very competitive. It is based on a point system and seems to be your best chances of getting in is being anywhere from 85-100 points.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

SuperMehgan: Is Charlotte a long drive for you? I like In Buckingham. and I was wondering if I would be hating life if I went to Charlotte even if I was desperate. Also What hospital will you be doing clinicals at in Charlotte?

Im full of questions. Thanks for being kind and answering them! lol
