I'm looking forward to meeting with them next semester, however, they came in to talk to us briefly during orientation the first week of school and told us there are about 30 spots total between all 3 hospital groups for all 3 campuses, which means theres a lot of competition.jam911 likes this.

Or are there other criteria?Yeah, first they come to class to give us info and feed us lunch to attract us to their hospital I suppose. Then, you apply, and if you are selected, you get the moolah. - Nov 20, '09 by sunraygurlRNNo I have no idea about their selection process. I won't meet with them until the beginning of next semester sometime. When I find out more info, I'll post something here.

- Nov 20, '09 by NavyVeteranHey everyone. I just wanted to chime in about the scholarships. I am halfway done with process II at South campus. The dean just spoke to us about the scholarships this past week. She said that typically they give out several scholarships, but now there is only a few, like 4 or 5 that they will offer. And that is between all campuses. I wouldn't count on the scholarship. It will be difficult to get. I am going to try because I pay for my school out of my own pocket. If you have any questions, I will be happy to tell you what I know.
- Nov 20, '09 by SilentMindQuote from NavyVeteranI'm in the same boat. I've been paying cash since the beginning. The scholarships would be a great boost, but i'm not counting on them. Just out of curiosity, how is the cost of the program divided up? I understand the full two years run somewhere around $6000. I assume this is just tuition and doesn't include books/equipment and may not include the costs of clinicals. I spoke to a few that had been accepted and they said the startup cost is somewhere around 2700 for the first semester. I was hoping the 6000 would be spread out more. Any light you can shine on the process would be greatly appreciated.Hey everyone. I just wanted to chime in about the scholarships. I am halfway done with process II at South campus. - Nov 20, '09 by NavyVeteranThe first semester is the most expensive. The tuition, if I recall correctly was about 1400.00. I spent about 1000 on books and supplies, although some I didn't need til process II. Then there is miscellaneous stuff like your physical, immunizations or titers, uniforms, cost of background check, etc. It all adds up. I spent a little over 3000 at least. I just registered for Jan. The tuition was 1079.00.
- Nov 20, '09 by NavyVeteranAs for the criteria for the scholarship, they do look at your gpa. Also, the dean told us to start volunteering. They look at that. Also they like if you are prior military (which I am).
