- Nov 6, '12 by MsFlo1982Hello,
I just submitted my application for May 2013; however, I'm scared because my GPA is a 3.1. They gave me a total of 8 points and my HESI is 90%.KCOOPS likes this. - Nov 17, '12 by Larimar7Quote from MsFlo1982It's nerve wracking but don't panic. Based on Jan 2013 admissions, you should be ok for admission with your GPA and Hesi scores. Good luck!Hello, I just submitted my application for May 2013; however, I'm scared because my GPA is a 3.1. - Dec 11, '12 by nchlclarkI am in the middle of studying for my hesi exam to apply for May for Broward College. Does anyone know if we have to do all of our certificates before we even apply? Is there a deadline? Also, when is the cap start for how many times we can take the Hesi exam? Also, can you take all online classes except for just one day a week? Thanks for any help.
- Dec 15, '12 by E_SaritaQuote from nchlclarkHello, I'm applying for May 2013 and in the middle of studying the HESI as well. Taking the exam on the 18th. As far as the certificates they are not required in order to apply (except for the HSP001). I believe they are due before the program starts though.I am in the middle of studying for my hesi exam to apply for May for Broward College. - Dec 17, '12 by shelly0205I am applying for Spring 2013. I am trapped between information about the pre-reqs. When I transferred here last year I was told that Micro and Math would be factored into the GPA...so I took BOTH courses. Now that I am applying it looks like they will not be factored in. This would be fine and well but my grade in A & P 1 is a C (and from many years ago) this pulls my GPA down to a 2.96 If they factor in my Micro and Math, I am at a 3.15 I scored in the 90's on HESI but I am still worried that a 3.15, if I was to get it wouldn't even be high enough.I am thinking of applying at Keiser and Chamberlin just in case...Good lucks everyone, I pray I am sitting next to you in bright blue scrubs in a few months.

Just to answer your question. Only the extra math and microbiology are required for new students or students that are applying at Broward College for August 2013 and beyond. If you apply for May 2013 you shouldn't have to have the math and microbiology done as a prerequisite to be accepted however, microbiology needs to be completed before finishing the program. And of course, chemistry is a prerequisite before you can register for microbiology. Everybody that I have spoken with strongly suggest you take microbiology before you start the nursing program. I will be doing microbiology this winter term and hopefully will get accepted for May. -
