- Dec 19, '12 by alokiheathI was wondering what the competitive GPA and HESI scores are for admission specifically for the Aug 2013 semester. If anyone feels comfortable, or if anyone that is currently enrolled would list their scores I'm curious. Thanks!
- Dec 19, '12 by Getting To GreatQuote from alokiheathIt really depends on the committee as to what they deem is competitive. As for us, we just have to aim as high as we can. One may have a 3.5 with a hesi score of 98% and the other a 3.6 GPA with a 92% hesi score; for us we would say the 3.6 GPA is more competitive then the 3.5, but truth is it depends on the committee, which is unpredictable for us. All I can tell you (and us) is aim above the minimum standard.I was wondering what the competitive GPA and HESI scores are for admission specifically for the Aug 2013 semester. - Dec 20, '12 by Kitty_Hello Everyone! I am also going for the August 13 program!
It has been so hectic with all these changes! I am all finished with all my pre-reqs and Hesi.. I am just concerned about the Hesi changes because I have taken it twice just not with 6 months in between. Also I'm trying to retake BSC2086/L over again but BC wont let me since I have passed it already?!?!?!?! Wondering if anyone knew a way around that..
Good luck to us all!!

Unfortunately if you've already passed BSC2086/L with a "C" or higher, they will not allow you to retake it, so there's no way around that, sorry
. Now with the HESI exam, it's best you speak with an advisor, (speak with an advisor that's familiar with the nursing program and all it's requirement), about the new changes possibly affecting you, hopefully you're fine though.
Best of luck!!!! - Dec 20, '12 by Kitty_Quote from FutureNurseS.BrownThank you! I'll def go speak to an adviser that's in the nursing department about the HESI...Seems like your right about retaking the course! Spoke to an adviser who said there's nothing I can do about it...Sucks ughh!Hello Kitty_, Congratulations on finishing all your pre-req's and the HESI!

- Dec 20, '12 by Gennahaleyhey guys! i plan on starting in aug 2013
i finished all my pre reqs and now I just have to take the hcp class which I'm taking this winter. So, i took the HESI today and got the fallowing scores: Math 96%, anatomy 96%, reading 84%, grammar 86% and vocab 68%
i plan on taking the vocab and reading portion again asap but i need help! i studied the evolve study guide and maybe 5 vocab words from the study guide were on the actual test. the rest of the words were words i never heard of. does anyone know of a good study guide for the vocab? help help help!!
thank you
- Dec 20, '12 by Getting To GreatQuote from GennahaleyI can suggest that you use Quizlet.com, you can almost drive yourself crazy just looking up vocab words because there is so much! You did really great on all the other portions. How was your overall experience with the exam more specially Math and A&P. Would you say that the study guide helped with the math portion of the exam? Was the time allowed more then enough to complete the exam? Also, since your saying that you plan to retake the Reading and Vocab, does'nt the 6 month apply? Thanks.hey guys! i plan on starting in aug 2013

thank youLast edit by Getting To Great on Dec 20, '12FutureNurseS.Brown likes this. - Dec 21, '12 by Yankeesgirl907I noticed someone posted they were taking the DEP4000 or something which I know is the psychology course...i know this is not required for Broward College but, I do see that for other schools such as Palm Beach College Nursing this is a course requirement. Is anyone else taking a psychology course in case they don't get into Broward ? or just taking it to boost the GPA. I was going to register for it online but ..i don't know if I would be taking on too much and wasting my time on a course that we don't need. Ugh decisions decisions. I am downloading a HESI book on my Kindle now to start studying. From what I see on Quizlet..the anatomy part doesn't seem too tough, a lot of it is from Anatomy 1 for sure.
