I only applied to BCC. Not fond of putting all my eggs into one basket but South campus is very close to my home so it will work well for me with working husband and small baby to take care of. - May 12, '12 by caribgyrl8Quote from itschloebHello. - May 17, '12 by Nevijam17Hi Everyone,
I placed my application for the August 2012 generic nursing program. I completed all my pre-reqs at Miami Dade College. I have a 3.34 GPA. I recieved a 92% on the HESI (I averaged all 5 scores that BC looks at). According to the Limited Access Application Information Page I was awarded a total of 10 points. 9 for the GPA and 1 for Broward Resident. I am hoping that this will be enough to get in to the Program. Hope to see you all in August. -
- May 18, '12 by Renee5556Hi everyone,
I started in May of this year. It has been very interesting so far BUT it is a lot of work. When they tell you that you will not have time for anything else, believe it. I have not slept good since I started. I do not know, maybe it's because I started in the summer term which you know is very fast paced. You have to study, study, study, assignments and practice your clinical skills ALL the time. Needless to say I cannot wait to get to the Hospital and start working. Make sure Nursing is something you want to do or else your not going to like it. Those of who are going to take the HESI test, just study and it'll be fine; do not panic. I do not think it was that hard as everyone was saying. Those of you that start in August, start reading the fundamentals book, Infection and Control is a good chapter to start reading and try reading the first few chapters as well. I have my first test today and it's on 11 chapters so it's good you start reading ahead. You do not have to but at least when you go to class, you will be prepared. I wish everyone the best of luck
