USF applicants 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Anyone applying to USF's (University of South Florida) nursing program?. I feel discouraged because I heard how competitive and rigorous it is.I have a 3.7 GPA. finished about half of my pre-reqs, got A's in all of my science courses. A B in statistics, ethics, and humanities:sarcastic:. I'm currently an ambassador at a community college and volunteering at a hospital. If those aren't good enough to get in the program I don't know what will lol. Is anyone here a USF nursing student? I would love to hear your experiences. I hope I can at least get into USF or my community college. If those fail..then it's off to or technical for me!!

The Marshall student center is that class building atrium like thing right? Lol with the bull in the fountain infront of it ...but we should all definitely meet up second floor then that sound like a good idea

Lol, yeah. I went there last week for the first time. That's where all the students are going to meet anyway to sign up for orientstion. But after we sign up on time, we can go wait for others on the second floor.

I wanted to reach out to you all but for some reason the site is only allowing me to reply to comments and not post.

I'm applying to USF's nursing program for the fall. I want super stressed over the essay. This thread is amazing I appreciate everyone's insights.

I was wondering if you could give me a few tips and/or let me read a sample essay for someone who go accepted.

Congrats to everyone who got in !

@ahenderscheid I sent you a pm and thank you :)

hey everyone, I just found out that I will be attending USF this fall for the accelerating program. I am so excited. I have no idea what to do or expect because I have not received the packet that comes in the mail. Since I was accepted late my orientation is in August. Any insight on what I can expect would be grateful!!

I started last Fall and we did not receive packets in the mail. Unless they said because you were accepted later than other students that they would mail it. But there is some information on SOAR about some things. The advisor should be able to email you the information that you need.

Even a few days extra to get everything done is a plus.

Congratulations on being accepted!!!

She sent me some info by email but most of the information and due dates have passed and she said she would send me something by mail. The problem is that I am moving this Saturday. Do you know where I can purchase my scrubs and other materials that I will need?

The website that my class was able to order scrubs does not work any longer. Hopefully, one of the students AllNurses will forward you the website information about the scrubs.

I would inquire from other students about what size fit them. Our class had sizing issues and I know they have changed the sizing a bit since Fall of last year or I could help.

This is the website: http://usf.moruniversity.com/

If you were M is better to take S, but if you were S, take XS. Congrats!!!

Lol, sorry. I was in rush.

Wear**** my mistake.

Thanks. I actually received all the information that I needed from them but I was told not to order anything until my make-up match day. I was really confused about the Agency Agreement form that they are asking for. I can not find it anywhere and I am waiting to hear back. I also do not have the code for the background but I'll call tomorrow to ask for it. Is there anything that I need to know about the PIP.

Well, I'm not sure. Make sure you're there on the 16th of August. Get your ID and attend the general orientation so you can register for classes. Just wait and they'll tell you everything that you need to know. Call and ask questions.

[email protected] email me. Ill fill you in.
