UF 2013 BSN applicants?

U.S.A. Florida

Anyone else applying there for the fall?

UF does have a wait list, but I've heard that it is a very short list because they accept mostly UF students, so they don't expect very many people to say no. They only take about 10-15 transfer students, and those are the people most likely to say no to UF and go to another school, so I'm guessing the wait list only has about 10-15 people on it.

Oh okay, well I hope I get my decision letter today. Come on 4pm (or sooner :)

Also, for those of you who are transfer students, I just wanted to say that I know the system at UF doesn't seem fair to transfer students- I know for a fact that if I were a transfer student I wouldn't have gotten into the program at UF- But there are plenty of schools that would be happy to have you! I applied to other universities as back ups and I got into 2 out of 3 so far, so if you are qualified you will get in somewhere! The most important thing is that we are going to be nurses!

@chels19 what other schools did you apply to?

UCF, FGCU, and UNF

UCf and FGCU accepted me and I was invited to interview at UNF but I won't be going to the interview now.

oh okay. well I wish you the best with whatever program you choose :)

It appears that UCF accepts transfers more than UF does. Did anyone who got denied from UF apply to UCF? Just curious.

Dang! I live in Tallahassee and STILL haven't gotten my letter :( the wait is KILLING me!

So upon double checking, I realized I put the wrong mailing address on my application. The school of nursing is going to mail another letter out to the correct address, but what a bummer!!

Yes, UCF doesn't favor their current students over transfers. More of an even playing field for applicants.

And no letter today either

Got my letter and didn't make the cut.. Congrats to everyone who did!!! And to the others in my shoes, best of luck to you all!!!

Still NO letter for me. Weird. I'll have to call them monday if I don't receive anything this weekend.
