UCF Fall 2012

U.S.A. Florida

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone that is applying for UCF's BSN program which will begin this Fall, 2012. I think this would be a great place for everyone to share their concerns, nerves about waiting, or questions. :)

So, how is everyone? Which campus are you applying to?

july 6th is the last day to accept the spot in the fall class

just emailed one of the advisors and he said that,

"the waitlist is not ranked. if space becomes available in the incoming class, the admissions committee will review waitlisted students based on their total qualifications and the overall composition of the class. the number of students admitted from the waitlist varies from year to year depending on a variety of factors."

are you guys talking about the VCC/UCF concurrent program waitlist? Because I was under the assumption that the waitlist for UCF fall nursing was ranked and they just went down the list as spots became available...

yes, the message i just put up was regarding the VCC/UCF concurrent program.

OK, well they sent me the MOA today and it has to be in to the college by the 29th, they don't mess around. It has a LOT of instructions on it and little details, I am going to have to print it out and read several times. This is exciting.. Good luck to everyone else!!!

Hello everyone- First post on allnurses. After avery long and painful wait...I received my acceptance email the other day to the UCF/VCC concurrent program. So excited (and nervous) to start. I feel "behind" for some reason. faxed back my acceptance. Now what???

mattborlando- what's an MOA?

CONGRATS!!! Looks like we will be in class together. Check your email, they will send you a MOA to fill out and return very quickly. It looks like a contract. Then you will get emails about both orientations the 20th(valencia) and 27th(ucf) We have a lot to do between now and then!!!!!

memorandum of agreement, like a contract it seemed to me. states that you will be in their classes, you agree to take ucf and valencia classes. and things.. As soon as I sent that out, I got all my orientation emails, also Check your Atlas in Valencia, under students tab you should see "secure nursing website" in the bottom left, all sorts of fun stuff there now!

Anyone know of any childcare that's not too expensive?

Congrats to you too :) I received the MOA, signed it and sent it back. I want the checklist of everything I need to do so I can get started ie. which immunizations, physical, cpr?, fingerprinting, background check....etc. I wonder when we will receive all of that info. Maybe at orientation. Any idea how financial aid works since you're technically going to both schools? See you on the 20th. I'm the girl with the Dunkin Donuts coffee ....always:)

Check your email, you should get one from Valencia about orientation and the backgrounding from them, then after the MOA send one to the advisor from your UCF account and you will get the info about the UCF orientation. :)
