I will be submitting my application soon! My overall GPA is a 3.2 (i switched from pre-med to nursing so I took some major science courses :/ ), my pre-req GPA is 3.6, and my adjusted individual total TEAS is an 87. The fact that only 36 students are accepted makes me extremely nervous, not to mention interviews. I will be applying to the concurrent UCF/SCC program, crossing my fingers I get into one of them! Good luck everyone!

I'm not too nervous about the interview process but I am so nervous about the TEAS. I take my last attempt Tuesday and I really need to get my scores up. I bought the ATI study manual months ago and I've been studying a bunch but the Chem and Bio kills me. I took the two online practice tests I purchased and they seemed much harder than the actual TEAS. My GPA is a 4.0 but I proctored exams aren't my strongest category. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

I am going to retake the TEAS this thursday. I'm sorta hoping this is not too close to the deadline. I hate interviews and I''m not much of talkative person so I hope a higher score will just lift me up. Just do as many practice tests as you can tonight focusing on those weak areas only. The one practice test from ATI that I took I realized I made some silly mistakes by not reading the questions properly, so take your time and relax and read through the entire question. For me the language is my weakest area, I am really tired of the silly trick questions with 2 possible correct answers and I always seem to choose the wrong one.The practice test is helping me to understand the rationale or " īrrational " behind their correct answers. Make sure to get lots on rest on Monday night. I made 84% in the actual test but I want to get closer to 90,however, in the practice test I made only 67%, it is definately harder than the real thing but I liked the challange. I wish you all the best. I will repost my scores once i retake it.

Thanks so much!! Yeah the first time I took the exam about 3 moths ago I raced through it and had taken the pre-reqs about a year and a half prior and ended up with a 70. I bought the manual and I've gone over everything I missed and even got help from a tutor with chemistry. I'll be happy with anything in the mid 80s but the practice exams were really difficult and made me discouraged. Everyone says the actual TEAS is easier so I'm hoping going into with a clear head will do it. I take my TEAS Tuesday morning and they said to submit everything as soon as I was done to leave a little time if anything comes up and needs to be resubmitted. As far as interviews go, don't worry so much. I think they just want to see more of who we are. Just be yourself and I sure that will be enough. I'm praying to get an interview, and waiting until October is killing me!

Good luck on your TEAs! remember to watch your time, a few of my friends ran out of time on a couple sections, read carefully & try not to stress it too much... thats what helped me :]

    Hi everyone!

I am also applying to the Spring 2013 UCF BSN program. I just took my TEAS today and got a 92! I'm ecstatic! My overall GPA is 3.88, science GPA is 3.6, prereq GPA is 3.85. My back-up is the SSC/UCF concurrent program, but I like the idea of finishing in only 5 semesters, so here's to hoping I get in the basic BSN program! Good luck everyone!

man this sucks, i studied more and scored lower on my TEAS retake got only 78.7% killed again by low language score of 60% . The good news is i called UCF and they do not have a most recent score policy like some other places, so i can use my higher score i took back in may...so hopefully 84% will have to be good enough i not going to take this test again. So here goes... I am submitting my application today. Good luck to everyone!

@man-nurse2b I think your score is great! I have 2 friends in UCFs program right now with almost identical scores Also I talked with my advisor over the phone and she said that the points system I was asking about before is based on our cum GPA science GPA and non-science GPA and i think it was like a 3.0 =0 1 3.1= 5 a 3.2 =10 etc and somehow they do a calculation based on those three GPA's and your TEAs so that gives kind of a better idea of how they do it. I think the interviews are gonna be a chance to really kind of stand out and shine in other areas than just numbers, like volunteering, extracurriculars, musical/sports talents maybe?
