UCF Cocoa Beach/Daytona Spring 2013

U.S.A. Florida

I am a pre-nursing student attending UCF Orlando Campus. I am applying this summer to Cocoa Beach and Daytona Campuses to start Spring 2013! Eeek! I know there have been other forums regarding previous admissions to the program that have helped me to figure where I stand. I thought it would be nice to have a chance to meet each other, talk about our scores, and answer or ask questions regarding the application process!

Got an interview!! Interviews are definitely not my strong point lol. Good luck everyone!

Found this thread a while back looking to see if anyone had received emails yet/waiting/competitive stats for this year, just now got around to posting. I got an email as well! Congrats to everyone else who did, see you guys the 30th! :)

I got my email to interview around 9:30 last night!!! Cant wait to meet everyone, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!

holy cow..the background check is $100!:uhoh3:

i also received an email for an interview! is it true that everyone who gets an email is provisionally accepted?

No emails on my end yet :/. But congrats to everyone that has been offered an interview =)!!!

anyone who already made an account on the background check thing.. what did you select for the immunizations part at one point it makes you choose what semester but it does not have Spring 2013

I was wondering the same thing. It didn't have anything yet for spring 2013. I'm going to call on Monday to see what we should do.

Does anyone have any recommedations for apartments in Cocoa?

@chavon13 I have lived in cocoa for about 20 years (so I've seen it all lol) now and I will say this, DONT live in an apartment in cocoa, there are very few decent apartments in safe areas in cocoa itself, there are some nice ones in Titusville off of 405. I personally would recommend renting a house with some other students in either north friday road area, Port st John, or canaveral groves(if your can get your hands on one) Those are the better areas around here. I rent a house in Port St John with my boyfriend and may be looking for roommates in January, but only if they are in the nursing program, because I don't want a lot of partying going on while Im trying to study (if I get in I mean).... Also it would be helpful to have someone to discuss material with and carpool with. Inbox me your number if you are interested

To anyone who has started the background check, is it something you can start and go back to until you submit the order or do you have to do it all at once?

@chavon13:

I believe that is what they said at the information session but I don't think they make official decisions until after the interview. Some of us will be placed on the waitpool which is one reason why they want us to have our background checks completed, because they could call last minute and tell someone in the waitpool to come in & everyone needs to be ready so there are no shenanagins in January if that happens.
