Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Thanks for all of your responses.

Best of luck!!!

So quiet on here ...;)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. :)

Does anyone know when they will be sending out accepted/wait listed emails after the interview?

I know the Spring 2013 received the emails 4 days later. Hopefully we'll hear something by the middle of the following week.

yeah...that sounds right...spring 2013 cocoa/daytona's interview was on tuesday and they received emails by friday...for us this may mean monday or more likely tuesday after the interview...

I am so eager for this. Red pens await.

Hey everyone! I've chatted with some of you on the basic forum, I just wanted to wish you guys the best for the interviews you have on Friday!!! I know you all will do great! Relax, be yourself and have fun! I will be anxiously lurking to see how you guys did (not to sound creepy or anything lol)

Back from camping! :)

Now I can focus on my stressing about the interview! LUckily this is a 4-day work week for me, since I took all of Friday off. Another camping weekend awaits to either celebrate a good interview or decompress after a rough one! Either way, I'll be sure to bring the wine for sunset.

Ahh.. thats why it was so quiet on he forum. That's so cool you go camping with your family.

I don't think that many people do it anymore.

I remember growing up and going on camping adventures . :)

My game this weekend is studying. After my exam tomorrow it will be all about the interview and getting myself prepared.

Have a great rest of the day. :)

I love camping. It is the only way I can really take time away each month. I find life gets so hectic, it can pass you by if you don't stop to enjoy it! And it is one of the nice things about living in Florida- with the right gear, you can camp year-round :)

Someone on allnurses who just got into a BSN program they interviewed for posted this link on nursing school interviews on another thread. It looks incredibly helpful, so I wanted to share it with you all:

Thank you, this link is very helpful. I just read through it, I plan on studying some of these questions before Friday!

I'm trying not to get nervous- I have an exam for my APII class on Thursday night. I've been studying for that, while working pretty much everyday... I haven't prepared for the interview as much as I would like to.

I'm hoping everyone has a great Monday. I'm going to try to actually concentrate on work today. I hope this week flies by. It's 58 days until the program starts.
