Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

What is everyone wearing for the interview? Are you wearing a suit or a nice blouse and dress pants? I just bought nice dress pants and a silk long sleeve top. I tried on a suit and felt way to formal. I am not a person that an pull off a suit well!

You guys are a trip! And pretty creative. I'll see if I can find a red pen, or 3. I'll be unable to join for either meal, since I'm heading out for a family camping trip that afternoon and I need every second in the morning! :-)

I'll have a black file bag with a colorful scarf around the handle. It's my interview good luck charm. Skirt suit. I'm kinda "thick" (muscular!) With short brown hair. I'll try to be there between 8 and 8:15.

I can breathe a slight sigh of relief from today and now start the new stress over practicing my INTERVIEW QUESTIONS!!! I feel with all the hurdles thus far I can't mess up in interview!

I'll be wearing a suit :) I won't be able to do any get togethers since I've got to get back home to my son, but looking forward to seeing some red pens/markers!

I'll be interviewing at 12, and I think I'll stick with simple black dress pants/blouse/blazer combo. I'm so glad that you got everything resolved, akwildone! I won't be able to do lunch either after the interview. But I do like the red pen idea very much ;)

So, they invited 100 people and have 60 seats? That's actually a lot higher than I thought.

I know what you mean, Nursowiczka2b, I find myself checking this site more than my email or other social sites. We are all going to get along just fine! It's going to be an exciting year!

It really feels good to know that there are people out there who feel as passionate about nursing as I do. I often hear from nurses that even though nursing program is a lot of hard work, it is also a time of your life when you meet friends for life. :)

Hope everyone is doing well on this rainy day. (Well at least here in Orlando)
