Tampa FL Residents

U.S.A. Florida

I live in the Tampa FL area and I am wanting to go into the nursing field.

I was looking at doing LPN so I can start working and then do LPN to RN bridge.

My question is, which schools around here will transfer credits so I can seek out a BSN in the future?

Or will I be starting from scratch when I want to do my BSN?

Also, if I went to ITT or UMA will employers laugh at this education and not hire me?

The for profit school I am attending definitely offers a BSN degree in nursing. I knew exactly what I was getting into before I signed the papers; the fact they offer a BSN degree was an added bonus for me, since the classes have an online option. Cost issues aside, the FL Board of Nursing only cares if I passed the NCLEX to give me a license... they don't much care otherwise what school(s) I attended.

Hi, I am looking into Erwin's or Brewster's 2014 LPN. Can you give me some input on your experience at Erwin?

I graduated from Brewster as a pct and Erwin with my LPN. Brewsters Lpn program based their curriculum off of Erwin's. They are both good schools. Erwin's program is bigger and they have more classes because of it. Brewsters entrance is based on lottery where as Erwin is first come first serve once you pass the teas test.
