Tallahassee Community College Fall 2014 Applicants

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Just wanted to start a new thread for the applicants of the fall 14' semester. Hopefully i will find some future applicants on here to go through the process with!

I took my first attempt on the hesi on wed aug 28th scores as followed:

Math: 90

Reading: 90

Grammar: 90

Vocab: 84

I think i will use my second attempt to try to get that Vocab score up a little higher.

My GPA when i apply will be a 3.66

I look forward to meeting other applicants of the Fall 14' semester. Good Luck to everyone!!

I took my HESI the same day and got a 96% overall. I got a 98 on reading, grammar, and math but scored a 90 on the vocab. I heard the vocab was pretty hard but I don't even know how to study for that. Read the dictionary? My GPA is 3.6. I figured my total points to be 152 out of 160. I'm super nervous and hate that we have to wait so long for a response. My boyfriends mom just started her first semester so I hope to learn a little more from her. Good luck!!

Thanks! I cant wait to apply. I see that you are applying for this spring! Good luck! You will be one semester ahead of me because i cant apply until the following semester Fall of 14'. I am pretty confident ill get in though with 151 out of 160.

Oh, and i have retaken the hesi since this initial post and brought my scores up. I scored a total of 93.48 overall on the hesi now! So 113.48 out of the 120 and my gpa is a 3.66

94.5% on Hesi, estimated 3.5 gpa (possibly 3.6 lol) equals out to about 150pts total, Super worried I wont get in...

3.61 GPA and a 91 on the HESI. Comes out to be 145/160 points. Doesn't look like it's going to be enough to get in. I was talking to someone yesterday and was told as of 2 weeks ago there was already over 400 applicants and that they were only accepting 25 new students this semester.

Rumor is the it is 25 extra seats... can anyone here confirm that?

Ok, I just called TCC. There are 48 seats total, not including alternates.

@corybgriffin Hey, don't be so sure you wont get in! Last fall people with a 146/160 got in, and you are right there at it! Plus, there's always the chance of being an alternate. Stay positive!

Ha, thanks. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Is the GPA score based off of our cumulative GPA or our prerequisite GPA?
