SPC Spring 2013 hopeful, anyone else biting their nails?!?!

I will be sending my official Spring 2013 app in on 7/20! All pre-reqs completed except for micro (which I am already registered for in the fall before the program would begin), and a GPA of 3.78 on my pre-reqs. Wish I hadn't been such a goof off back in 1997 when I took Composition I! I am also an employee with Baycare and applying for the EAYL progam. I was just praying to find other people out there, in a similar situation, a little support and just knowing we aren't alone in this nerve wrecking path would be nice.

has anyone heard anything from EAYL or SPC???? I'm going mental lol.

I check my email multiple times a day. Still nothing. Im thinking about calling, but i figure I will get a canned response. I wish they could give a better time frame.

I haven't heard anything from neither one. I figured EAYL will start contacting applicants after tomorrow, October 10th, since that is their application deadline. As far as SPC goes, if you check here: SPC Health programs admissions , you will see that students should be notified by November 1st regarding their status (accepted, wait listed, or denied). I'm going mental too! I still check my email, phone, and mail box multiple times a day even though I know I won't find anything out until the end of October.

Hopefully we will all hear something back soon...I need to be put out of my misery!

Last semester the deadline to apply was may 15th and the emails went out june 15th. So hopefully this semester will work the same and we will get the emails oct 15th.

I am also applying to the EAYL program through Morton Plant. Have any of you that also applied gone to your interview yet? And do you know if there is just one interview or more than one?

I am a BayCare employee & applied for the Spring 2013 EAYL program also. My interview is Monday, 10/15/12!! Keep in mind that there is only 1 interview for employees. I believe that they go through employee interviews first and then non-team members. Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone! I had my first interview last Tuesday on the 2nd and I have my second interview on this Friday the 12th. Also, I am not a team member so I don't know if that has anything to do with what dates my interviews were scheduled for. Good Luck everyone and keep us posted on your statuses!

I had my second interview and they mentioned having 12 spots for day classes and possibly 6 extra spots for night classes. Is anyone interested in doing night time classes?

I work night shift so I'm unable to do the night class. It would be great if I could, but instead I just have to pray to be one of those 12 seats for day:-) Did they mention how many applicants there were total? I don't know if is appropriate for me to ask at the end of my interview today. Also, did they say when you could expect to hear if you were chosen? I know I will hear whatever you did this afternoon, just so worried had to ask:-)

I can't say either way. At my interview today, Debbie Covert mentioned still having applicants to consider & interview. I was told the decision would be made & we would be notified by phone around the 1st of November. I would call the team resources/education department @ (727) 736-9934 and ask, they are very friendly and there is no reason to continue to worry if you can get an answer right away:-) Best of luck, sorry I could not be more help!
