South Florida Nursing Schools

U.S.A. Florida

Hey guys,

I am freaking out. I am 23 years old and am currently attending FAU. So to make a long story short, I messed up my first couple of years of college and didn't do so hot in some of my classes. I have a 3.0 GPA, but what brought me down is that I have 2 W's in anatomy from a dual enrollment program from high school, I also have gotten C's in Anatomy 1 and 2 and Chemistry when I retook them. I have went to meetings at BCC, Miami Dade, Barry, Nova, South University and next week I am going to the University of Miami. I am now starting to get nervous because I did not realize how competitive this was going to be and even BCC told me that I do not have a good chance at getting in. So right now I am scared on what if I do not get in anywhere. Should I do an LPN program and then hope to bridge into and RN? I have over 100 credits completed at FAU so I feel weird from starting from the bottom.

Thanks.

Corrina

Hey

I want to say that your situation is a very special one.. I work at miami dade college kendall campus and i want to inform you that i am doing nursing as well. Your chances are not that high. My recommendation is to go to the LPN program and then try to apply to nursing. Nursing school in universities such as barry, fiu, nova, and um are very competitive and they still asking for gps's higher than 3.5. plus you can no have a C in any science class and neither w's .. I wish you the best luck :) keep your hopes highs
