RN-Refresher course around Daytona Area?

Anyone here knew where I can take an RN-Refresher Course in Daytona Area? My commute to this place is easier.I only found Ocala and Jacksonville in my search.

Any information and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Where are you located?.....I am admitted already for the RN-Refresher Course with FSCJacksonville that will start Monday. No idea if there's a refresher course in Daytona. You might try to call FSCJ and ask for Mr Matthews. Clinicals will be in Shands Hosp.

I've read on one of the thread in the general section regarding Retired/Inactive Nurses and bumped to one thread from this lady that finished the refresher course last year and was very happy with it.

I'm also searching for a refresher course around Daytona area, so far the nursing college here is not offering such yet.

I am hoping to find one that is not an hour drive from my place.Time wise,it will kill our driving.

Anyway, I hope someone will find one soon, and let us know.

Hi Charr-RN!.....I can understand the long distance driving. It was tough for me too, driving 1 hr back and forth and dealing with super aggressive drivers in jacksonville area. But I have no choice. In my case, I'd prefer to be in a "live" class and getting some input. We are now on the second week in the class and the instructor is awesome. I'm a bit nervous because I've been out of the nursing field for 12 yrs and never had any hospital/ltc experience at all. Been a housewife for a while and getting tired staying home, so I took the exam last month and passed it.

I hope you can find somewhere that will suit your needs. But in my opinion, you may need the refresher course so somebody will hire you. That's all up to you. Taking phlebotomy and other health related courses is good too. I had my phlebotomy 5 years ago and that's a plus also.

Good for you that you're now on your 2nd week. I'm still grounded here waiting for Daytona College to offer this soon.

Could you be kind enough to give me an idea of the topics that will be included theory/clinical?

DC has IV therapy class on June, Maybe for the meantime,I will attend this while waiting for their refresher course.

Good luck on your class.I wish I can also attend such soon.

I'll be glad to share to you regarding refresher course. Can we do this in private? Don't have any idea how to do this, but if you do, let me know..... Had our first exam, did well....aced it! I mean...100%....exam so easy. Did skills too, had fun! Awesome! Instructor, AWESOME!

I was not able to catch up this June IV Therapy of Daytona College.It will start on the 7th.Still waiting for their Refresher Course.

You can PM me so I can give my email add.Still don't know how to do this thing here,I mean doing PM.

I am restless now, doing nothing, earning nothing.I hope I can start doing something that will make me employable soon.I wish I can just attend where you're doing your refresher course now.My problem is the driving.
