could anyone tell me if an r.n who is a director of nursing at a small home care agency that is non skilled.would be jepordizing their license by holding this position? or does the ultimate responsibility fall back on the agency??? please email me thanks. An RN who is DON of a non-skilled agency is legally responsible for the nursing and home health care provided including nsg & HHA orientation, payor requirements (if accepting insurance/medicaid payment) and complying with state/federal laws.
