PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

Specializes in LPN.
I got in good luck to you Risky!!!

My letter went to a different address so I won't know but I'll be glad if I get in. Transition is what I wanted in the first place.

Congrats to everyone who made it in! For those of you that didn't don't give up! It has taken me 3 years at many different schools to finally get accepted! Can't wait to meet everyone! Who is wanting Rn West campus besides Dai?

I would prefer West campus since I've been there for the past two years but I will more than likely be sent to Porter campus since it's closer to me. I live by Land O' Lakes High School.

Yes Transition!!!!

I was chosen as an alternate for the West campus LPN. How many alternates do they choose? I almost wish my letter just said yes or no so I can move on with the next semester. Now I'm on hold again :(

Keep your fingers crossed MelissaB84

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!! :-)

At first I thought I wasn't going to get accepted into anything. Come to find out, I got accepted to BOTH LPN programs! I was sad that I didn't get into the RN program, but ya know what? I feel proud for getting into the LPN program. I'm gonna work my butt off until I finally get the RN title. The schooling time is virtually the same for both RN and the LPN -> transition route.

RN

- DECLINED / 74.7 TEAS / 2.85 Prerequisite GPA / Residency

LPN

- ACCEPTED / West Campus / 74.7 TEAS / Residency

- ACCEPTED / Porter Campus/ " / "

I will be declining Porter Campus and accepting West Campus on Tuesday! :-) Again, congratulations, future nurses! :nurse:

Is there an updated list with everyone's acceptance or denials. I know it obviously isn't everyone that applied but I too am wondering how many alternates and how many seats are becoming available. I would also like to know how many are getting accepted with lower scores than me. I mean I am happy for anyone who got in!!! I know how much work everyone has put into it. I also know in the end it will pay off for all of us :), and how much we deserve it!!!
