PHCC Fall 2013 hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Just wanted to see who all is applying for any program in the fall.

I'm going to be applying for the generic RN and LPN program for backup.

I'm a LPN. I was just curious about the paramedic thing. I know they only let them apply every other year so I wasn't sure if there is a ton of paramedics waiting every other year to apply.

I have heard the rumor not all paramedic seats get taken, simply because not enough interest from the paramedic side. 24 seats for any paramedic, then the rest for lpns.

Other than a few people in my classes, I haven't told anyone I applied. Granted most of my friends already think I'm in nursing school, lol.

So I'm curious, they allow 72 students into the transition program, does that include the 24 paramedics or is it separate? 72 LPNs and 24 paramedics OR 72 students total that includes both?

I think its 24 seats for paramedics with a total of 72.

ohh yeah, that sucks! For us LPNs lol Of course it has to be the year I apply lol I'm more nervous knowing that there is less of a chance now!

Well to top off my insanely freakish anxiety over this I received a letter today from phcc, and of course I immediately assumed I got denied!!!! I thought this bc my friend told me if you are accepted you will receive a packet; not a letter! With much dismay, I opened my "letter" which simply said that I successfully completed all application requirements.....ahhhh PHCC why do you do this to me????

Lol oh no so now if I don't see a packet I'm going to freak out. Ughhh I need to know now(:

ugh applying for lpn transition program 3.2 gpa and proficient in TEAS, hopefully I can get in I stay out of county:sorry:

I'm hoping there is room for all of us who applied but Idk I'm scared because I have a friend who says she knows a lot of people who applied! What was your score for TEAs. Your scores are similar to mine

Which program did you apply to, RN or LPN? And when was the letter post marked? I Didn't receive any letter so I'm kinda freaking out now. Did any one else get a letter?????

The only letters I have received was a few days after I sent in my applications. It was just like the other girl said, letting me know they received my application and I met the requirements to apply. I applied to both lpn and rn.
