Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

I registered for Pharmacology on T/TH @8 with Marshall and Critical Thinking on T/TH@12 with Copeland, hope to see some of you there...there are still PLENTY of seats right now.

I registered for pharm and critical :)

I registered for pharm.. The only one that was open was the 2 credit one for tues and thurs.. Hope to see someone there!

I also registered for Pharm but only the 2 credit one, wow seats for the 3 credit course went FAST. :-\ Hopefully one will open up but so far I am doing 2 credit Pharm online for summer. I heard its a tough course so maybe we can help each other out, I will be frequent on this thread until I *hopefully* get in for fall full time.

Anyone taking either one at the same time as me? We can definitely use this forum to help eachother out.

I think I am. Copeland had good reviews so I wanted her. I got the 3 credit pharm class at 8-10 T/Th w/marshall. I'm going to see how I do on the hesi. If I get an A I might not take critical. But I'm taking pharm for sure. I hope we all get in for fall!!!! 90 ppl is a lot..*Crosses fingers*

Yeah I got a 90...so I don't get the 10 points. Im taking it just in case I don't get in this semester and yes we are in the same class. I hope we all get in too:)

I have already taken critical thinking a couple semesters ago, it is not a difficult class to be honest, but it may depend on your teacher. I actually still have some helpful note guides from that course that I saved just in case if I needed them. In the class you have to get used to answering a question differently, I dont know the best way to explain it but it gets you ready for the type of questions we will encounter in the program. The type of questions where you have to actually think about the situation etc.., and the answer is not right in front of you, that was the tricky part for me. Its the type of course where if you put in the time and study to understand you will pass with an A.

I didnt get in the Pharm 3 credit course that I wanted :/ I keep checking often but I doubt a spot will open back up.

Anyone taking the 2 credit online only course?

I am just trying to get this course out of the way since I hear that it is difficult and time consuming.

i have not taken the pro calc and i am scheduled to take the hesi soon. what type of questions are on the procalc? is it hard? i been studying conversions but not sure exactly what to study for that.

Procalc wasn't really hard. Theres a packet on the pbsc website that has all the conversations. There were couple of converting kg to pounds & oz. I took it once and only missed one. You get an hour so you have plenty of time to recheck your answers (20 questions) Even if you don't pass the first time you can take it until you do, another day.

They let u use a sheet for rounding your answers during the test. If you round incorrectly you could get the answer wrong.

Make sure you know 1gr= 60mg. If you can do the problems in the packet you'll be fine :)
