Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN?

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to know if there is anyone who has applied to NSU's Entry Level BSN program RECENTLY and got in. I want to apply for Fall 2013's program. What was your GPA when you applied, how hard was it do you think to get in overall, just any personal experiences with your application journey.

I have a 3.691 currently and have taken Anatomy 1 & 2 with labs and got A's. Now I'm taking Microbiology and getting a B currently, will I be okay? Still have Chemistry and Human Growth and Dev. to take in the spring.

Thanks everyone in advance! :)

Nopee I am not applying, I haven't heard so many good things about it. And I don't want to be forced to work somewhere for three years when I don't know if I like it or anything.

Laura, do you mind telling us what you heard? Or you can private-message me if you prefer.

I've heard very little about the scholarship so I want to get as many perspectives as I can. :x3:

I would like to know as well.

I applied to Pre-Nursing for Fall 2013 and I currently attend Broward. Could someone tell me (since the admissions people cannot) if these credits are the same as Nova PLEASE - this is what I have so far that Nova is asking for

BSC2085 with Lab (anatomy & psy 1 )

BSC2086 with Lab (anatomy & psy 2 )

CHM1032

PHI2600 (ethics)

DEP2004 (human growth and dev )

PSY2012 (intro to psychology )

ENC1101 ( eng comp 1 writing credit )

I am missing Micro , Statistics and Nutrition- thats all ! I told admissions I wanted to finish them at Nova even though it does not guarantee admission to the BSN program but I knew that. I usually get scholarships from BC so I think i made a mistake by applying for Fall..I should of waited to apply for Winter being I am missing those 3 classes. I guess I just wanted to "get in" already. Did anyone else take these classes at BC ? please let me know !

Ok, I seriously would not know how to describe myself as a fictional character or a flower. I wonder if they ask the same questions all the time. GOSH. I'm scared. Thanks so much for your input, though. Glad to hear you made it out alive, lol. My overall GPA is 3.2 as well right now. I wonder if that matters as much as the required pre req gpa. Like english, stats, A&P, all those. I sure hope not. Also, is human growth and development a psych class? Because I took "developmental psychology" I hope that's the same thing :x3:

And do you know if chm1032 is an okay chemistry to be considered? It's a chemistry for health careers or something along those lines. I guess these are all questions I can ask on Thursday when I go for the tour and presentation. But asking someone who knows first hand how I feel (and went to Broward) is definitely more settling :) One last thing, is ethics considered humanities, do you know? I'm full of questions and concerns! I just recently decided to apply to Nova. Before, BC was the only school I was going to apply to. Did you apply there as well? WELL anyways, best of luck to you! Let us all know if you get accepted!!! (and maybe you have a few answers to my questions :wacky:)

Hi ! I am in the same situation...may I ask which class you took at BC that is considered Nova's "sociology" credit ? I took SYG2340 at BC. I am praying they transfer. I am taking MAC1105, DEP2004 and PSY2012 over the summer before I transfer however I might defer it to winter again. I did then i told them to change it..now I am too embarrassed to call again to make it winter!I am missing Nutrition, Micro and Statistics.

NICE!!!!!! Which campus? :D

Hi everyone...I"m new to this forum and I had my interview on April 16 at Kendall campus. I am so nervous because I feel like I messed up on the written portion of the interview. My friend who went to interview with me received her acceptance letter and I did not receive one yet. Does anyone knows if the written portion a weighs outweighs the GPA. I'm really freaking out. I really let my nerves get the best of me.

@ Elizabeth, I think you're nervous. don't be. I don't think the written portion is not as important as your GPA. Be patient and you'll get an answer soon. best of luck!
