I graduated from McFatter in August 2010. I dedicated 3-4 hours a day to the program. The curriculum did include A&P, Human Growth and Nutrition. For me, it was simple to enter, but it may be difficult now. I've heard there is a waiting list. I don't think they were that strict. As for my class, I think 6 people failed and about 19 graduated. The Tease covers math, science, English and reading comprehension. My overall average was a B. For about 6 months I worked part-time, 12 hours a week, while in school. I hope this helps.

Thanks a BUNCH for your reply, appreciate it! :)

I turned in my packet last Thursday and found out im like the 42nd person on the waiting list :crying2::crying2: But on a good note they are very encouraging over there. The medical bldgs assistant said that about half of the students on the list won't accept invitation to the program because they may have already started school or accepted an invitation elsewhere. Soooo I have my fingers crossed and will be praying for it:dncgbby:

Hi Praying01,

I am also on waiting list @ McFatter for LPN. I turned my packet in on June 6th. Are you waiting for day or

evening classes? I am on waiting list for daytime.

Hi HMMC4,

I applied for the evening courses. I heard they are sending out acceptance letters around July 15.

Good luck to us!!

Hi!

The evening class starts in Aug, right? I think your chances are pretty good cuz I was told there was no waitlist for evening classes. You can always call and see where you are on the waitlist. I called the other day. I actually have hope now that I will actually make it into the next day class in Nov (didnt make july but wasnt expecting too). The days class is the harder one to get into from what was told to us at orientation. So it wouldnt hurt to call and see if you can find out where your at on the list :D

Let me know if you call & find out anything. The waiting stinks! We rush to get everything together & then play the waiting game.

Best of luck! Praying for you to get that certified letter! :)

Yes the evening starts in August. Yeah I was told the same thing abt the evening program, that it was easier to get in to rather than the day classes. When I turned in my packet, I was put on the waiting list  . Im going to call tomorrow morning to find out exactly where I am and will let you know, thnks. Last week I also applied to their sister school Sheridan Tech. Sheridan has a mandatory orientation every Monday at 8am. I just brought all the paper wrk I turned in for Mcfatter and was put right on their waiting list as well :uhoh3:, the 7th person on the waiting list to be exact. Sheridan accepts abt 43 students and classes are Mon-Thurs 7:14-3:30. Im so anxious and nervous at the same time, I'm ready to find out already lol We should begin to get letters by mid July. I will call 2mrrw and let you know. I need all the prayer possible thnk you! Praying for you as well... and since you have all your paperwork you should turn it in for Sheridan too, you never know. Their applicant pool is bigger, IDK..lol im just all over the place

So, this is my third attempt to reply to you, praying01! The 1st time I accidentally closed out the window, the 2nd time, the internet went down. UGH!!

Were you able to find anything out. They are super friendly at the school.... I hope you got some good news from them. July is almost here..... not much longer for you! :)

I actually looked into Sheridan a couple of weeks ago. From the website it seems like they have classes for days in Aug & Jan. My plan is to wait to see if I get into McFatter's Nov class. If not I will go to Sheridan to try for Jan class. I have 3 kids & my youngest is going into kinder, so I just want to be able to get over that hump before I start school too. Does that make sense? Plus the hrs @ McFatter are better for me. I just keep praying that I get into the Nov class. But those letters dont go out until mid Sept..... seems like forever, oh well!

Keep me updated! Still praying for you!

Hey Hmmc4, Hope your having an awesome 4th of July celebration!

I called and got some GREAT news:yeah: !!!

When I asked when they were sending the letters out, the rep stated that they had already sent out the first batch around June 18th. She looked up my name and said that a letter was also sent to me  . I wasn't too shocked because we dont often chk the mail. In fact, we spend the whole week not collecting the mail smdh. We just get to many badd news throught the mail, BILLS ughh. lol. Anywhooo I received my letter and have to be at a mandatory orientation on Aug 5th and registration begins on the 8th. In the letter it also tells you the missing documents that you must bring at orientation. They give you your acceptance letter at orientation. Im so EXCITEDDD :D ... Can't wait for you to get your letter! If you want I can update you on all the info from registration and orientation to give you a heads up. September is right around the corner. Once your there, we can share notes and books, I'm SOOOOO EXCITED...!!!! LPN than RN for me.

The baby will be in kindergarten, so s/he will understand when mommy is doing H/W :)

3 young ones?!? I have to tip my hat off to you. If you can raise 3 babies im sure you will do great at McFatter.

:yeah::yeah::yeah:I will keep you updated :yeah::yeah::yeah:

:ancong!: :ancong!:

I am so excited for you! What a nice surprise, you got it before you expected!! So, was it in the mailbox the whole time? WOW!! Well orientation is right around the corner. I would be MUCH appreciated if you could send any info my way! I have been wondering what we will be required to buy (like supplies, what shoes we will be required to wear, I could go on & on) I liked to be prepared & I will admit, at times, OCD :o

I know time will fly & Sept will be here before I know it. I have enough to keep me distracted, LOL!!! My babies are 12 1/2, 9 (in Sept), and of course, 5. Not so much babies, but still my babies ;) I am nervous & excited, I am gonna have to learn quickly how to juggle it all. I am also planning on doing LPN to RN. I keep reminding myself that God is in control and HE will get me thru it. Gotta keep the faith.

Again, :ancong!: I am SO very happy for you. PLEASE keep me updated. I am sure you will do GREAT!! Many blessings to you as you start your new journey.

 To us & our new journeys!

Hey there! I just read the thread and I am in a similar position as you both. I applied to McFatter for fulltime evenings for this August term. I called on Tuesday and they said that I was 7th down the list. I cannot wait to get a letter or a call. Hopefully some of the people infront of me have made other plans because I am ready to finish this! Anyway, I was wondering if all goes well, we should form a study group or something to aid us in or scholastic journey. From what I have read having a study group increases the chances of making it through. Hope to see you at school!!!!!!! :D

was looking for reviews on mcfatter, and found this post, aug 5 is orientation for me, signed up for the evening class, cant wait to finish this program and find a decent job!!
