Hello All! I will be relocating to JAX this summer and am beginning to look for career opportunities their prior to my move. I have a small family moving with me I have to take their needs into consideration as well before I move. Please give me information regarding hospitals you have worked at/had experience with in JAX. Which ones were good options and why? Which one not so great and why? Good pay and benefits? Good orientation for RN new to med/surg? Thank you all!

  4. I am not a nurse yet but I can tell you that Shands pays the highest for nurses.
  5. I use to live in the area..until you have your Florida license none of them will consider you so if you haven't applied for it - do so. It takes a few months.
Shands is great, Baptist, Mayo - all of them have their own positive/negative as any place but JAX is lucky to have so many good places in one area. It's a great city and I think you all will be happy there - I miss it terribly.
  6. I have had my license for seven months now. I am trying to decide which one has the best options and work environment. Did you personally work at any of them? What is you opinion?
