no, its one of the worst...i have not graduated yet and i can tell you that every posting you see for jobs is merely a formality for every 20 job postings maybe 1 or 2 are real and they want experienced nurses. plus ive live in miami my entire life, the cost of living is ok in homestead but if you want to be around downtown its ridiculously expensive and owning a car is a MUST.

Cosign. However there is a Crapton of hospitals in the Miami-dade area,

Try looking at ORMC , Tampa general ,Halifax , Florida hospital, Florida medical center, broward general aventura med. center....

All places I've looked if I were to move back.

Tampa general seems to be pretty nice I applied a yr before graduation and they gave me a call 2wks later worth a shot

The only way TGH will consider you these days is if you are a BSN grad. Tampa hospitals are not hiring ADN grads without experience, unless you get lucky enough to be plucked up from a graduate nurse program from places like Florida Hospital Tampa. St. joes has a GN program for BSN candidates. It's bad here.

Dynamic, dynamic, dynamic...dream big, achieve all things!

It is challenging to find a job in the central fl area as a new grad especially if you have no experience and if you don't have a BSN. Have someone or several people look over your job. Consider all nursing jobs from clinics to hospice to nursing homes to hospital.

Tampa's cost of living is definitely lower than South florida. The pay may be a bit lower but the lower cost of living makes up for it.
