You should do well finding something in long term care. There's a ton of options here. I finally signed on with Lee. I'm going to float prn to their 3 campus'. Starting pay is $35 without benefits. They also have a benefitted float that starts somewhere around $30. This is for ICU though, don't know what the rate for the floors are.
    Congratulations
Hope I can start working as soon as I get to Fl.
I have heard that Fl. doesn't pay very well but compared to what the pay rate around here is $35 an hr. is very good.
I have wanted to be a nurse all my life. When we sold our business after my husband retired I started back to school and got my LPN cert. I have been thinking about an RN degree but I really want to work. I hope there are positons for LPNs open.
Will let you know in a couple of weeks. We should be in and settled by the 1st of Nov.
    Congrats again

well, i took a prn position with lee memorial..yes their benefits are really great. No sign on bonus' tho. they have something like a nursing ladder, with bonus' yearly.
I float to the icu's at cape coral, healthpark and lee...so far it's been great. Everyone's pretty nice and helpful. However, they're not very modern. For instance, they still use written MAR's, and their equipment is pretty outdated. But they're trying to improve. Anyway, just a quick update for you.
