florida hospital or orlando health for new grad pay

U.S.A. Florida

I am trying to compare the two hospitals Florida hospital and Orlando health. I know the starting salary at Orlando health is $22.50/hr for BSN and $21.30/hr for associates, the nurse patient ratio is 1 to 5, and night differential is $8.75 and weekends $3.20. Has anyone got accepted in the new grad program at Florida hospital if so can you share the location and floor starting pay for new grads, shift differential? What it is like working at Florida hospital? For example, the work environment and support from staff members along with how long the training is based upon the unit or floor you work on. Thanks.

Hello everyone! I just got a job offer in the PCU at the Orlando campus of Florida Hospital! I will be relocating from Massachusetts, does anyone need a roommate?

Congrats! i will be applying this summer because i graduate with my BSN in august. I have 3 years experience as a CNA/nursing assistant. Were you a new grad when you got hired? any tips?

I am finishing my BSN and graduate in August. I am going to apply to both Orlando and florida hospitals. I really dont want to do the GN programs, is it possible to get hired as a new grad? FH is offering a nice $10,000 bonus for people relocating to florida, which is what i am doing. I have my B.A. in Psychology and 3 years experience working in Telemetry/ICU/Med surg/ortho/rehab as an nurse aide/tech/CNA. Will they interview if I apply a month before i graduate? Thanks!

They don't hire new grad RNs unless it's through their residency program.

What EllaBella said above and also, new grads aren't eligible for the sign on bonus at this time. Sorry :( That would've been sweet. I applied there as a new grad and that's what I was told.

Hi! I have a interview tomorrow with EDNIP. Can you tell me a little bit about this program?! I have been a nurse for 8 months now on a postpartum floor. Just want to make sure this EDNIP program is a paid staff nurse position. What it entails. How long. Ect... Thanks!

Hello , how did the apartment search go for you . I m starting on the pcu floor this summer too

I just accepted a position on PCU at Orlando Health Dr. P Phillips hospital. I heard horrible things about work at Florida Hospital, and decided not to interview there because Orlando Health was my first choice. I am super excited. Anyone else starting in mid September at my hospital?

Hey tkdman37 how do you like Orlando Health Dr. P Phillips hospital? I plan on applying to both ORMC and Dr P Phillips. How is the pay for BSN students? How is your work environment?

Hi Ludmila! I just stumbled upon your post even though its been awhile ago.

Which school did you go to and how is the residency at FH, if you got hired there.

Thanks in advance

Hello I am graduating nursing school in May and I am really interested in applying for the residency program at FH. Does anybody have any insight when is it a good time to apply? Also I was wondering if any body knows when will the next program start accepting application! I really appreciate any help!!
