Florida Hospital Contract

  1. 0 What is the penalty for breaking the critical care graduate nurse contract at Florida Hospital? If I get the job I want then I do not plan to leave ... I just want to know how thick my handcuffs might be.

It depends. I have a contract with them till May 2009 (18 months). I've been told it is around 4000-5000. But you pay fraction of the remaining period. So if I like leave at 12 months, I pay 1/3 of 4 or 5 grand. Something like that. The only info I am not certain about is the actual amount. Im pretty sure its around what ive presented.

Depending on the unit you chose to work in, you will have to sign a contract stating that you will stay with them for a certain period of time. this applies mostly to ICU units which demand extensive training. When I started contracts were 18 months. I have become aware that this has increased to 24 and 36 months depending where you work in the hospital.
