FCCJ "cut off" points

  1. i'm posting this because i'd like to have one whole thread dedicated to this. i've seen people mention in several threads what past cut off points have been, so in this one i'd like to have the stats for the past cut off points, starting with this past summer.

if you have the info, please post it!

    cut off points for:

    summer 07 term
    spring 07
    fall 06
    summer 06

    thanks

I am in my first term at FCCJ. I believe our cut off (Summer 07) was 183, the cut off for Fall of 07 was 181.

I'm not in the FCCJ program, but my buddy is....I seem to remember him saying that the cut-off was 181 for his class--Jan 2007

wow seems like it just keeps going higher and higher... hopefully cut off will hover around 183-185 for this fall! cos i'm just barely scraping by with my points (187ish).

Summer may be a little higher than the other terms because they let in fewer students. I am sure you will be fine. Good luck and make sure you keep us updated!

Miss Rochelle- How did you do on the NAT? Did you prepare for it or just take it. What are your points?

i did pretty well on it, actually. i was freaking out so bad bc i barely studied. i had bought the review book but... didn't review. so i went into the testing center and winged it and did really well. i was in the 96th percentile for academic, 91st for reading, and 96th for sciences

it wasn't as hard as the review book makes it out to be, especially with the science part. if you've taken all your pre-reqs then, in my opinion, you should be set with the sciences.

I am just beginning, i am looking for someone to keep me motivated that is just beginning to take the prerequisites, maybe we can challenge each other. I will be signing up for Chemistry, College Algebra, and Sociology for this fall term. Unfortunately, I can not take more classes due to my demanding career at this time. Please feel free to recommend a better path if possible.

Sociology is a cake walk. DO as much online as you can. And shoot for A's

Yikes! It's going up pretty fast lol. I'm just worried because at this point I seriously have NO POINTS. Lol. I took College Algebra and made a C. I could retake it but I hated it so I am taking Statistics instead. The only other pre-req I have taken so far is English, in which I got an F due to a grading error so that is currently being fixed to either and A or a B. I'm taking all the rest of my pre-reqs in the next two semesters. I also have not taken the NAT. I obsess over points every second lol. 5 more minutes studying could end up pushing me from a B to an A... that's 4 points that I want on my apllication lol. I seriously make up scenarios like that in my head 24/7. I drive my friends and family crazy.

Thanks a ton for posting these though. That will surely keep me motivated if nothing else will.

I heard for summer 09, you are going to need around the 190's. I believe Mrs. James said that it starts around 193...

Ahh that lady is crazy. I got in Summer of 2008 and we have less applicants for numerous reasons. I think our cut off was like 180 or something and there are people in my class that had as low as 176 because of people who did not want or accept their seats, had a bad background check, etc. So just so you do not get accepted initially, they can call you all the way up to two weeks before classes start. =)
