everest college offers an rn program? hmmm didn't know that! anyway that answer depends on a few factors. how much does it cost? how is their pass/fail rate?....you get the idea. also, if your not sure, take some time to give them a visit. take a tour and ask lots of questions! you want a school that will encourage your success, so make sure it's a school that you have a great feeling about! hopefully some current or past students will find your post and give you some insight

    goodluck

I know that Everest just began introducing their RN programs a few years ago. I do not know too much about the actual program, but I do know that Everest is VERY expensive. I have a friend that goes there for Surgical Tech Here in Florida and a 2 year program in Surgical Technology at Everest costs around 30 thousand dollars. Nursing I expect is more as this is usually the case at many private schools in this area.

I would follow the previous posters advise and take a tour of the school and get all the information. They will NOT quote prices over the phone and they try to get people through the door since it is easier for them to recruit you. All I can say is go with an open mind and dont feel pressured to make any committments by the Reps. Just do research and let them know you are researching. By the way, try to avoid leaving a phone number if possible because these school call a lot to follow up sometimes for months(I know from experience). I know I make it sound negative, but I am speaking from experience from researching these school for other programs in the past. Despite all of this my friend that attends feels happy with his education so Maybe Everest is for you, but then again there may be an even better option out there. So anyway, Good Luck!

I went down to Everest college back in the spring when they were enrolling for the RN program that starts in July. It sounded good and then I heard the price that was around $40,000-$50,000 for the two years. Maybe I would not mind paying it since they didn't have a wait list and I would of finished even before getting into the community college, BUT when I asked about the Accreditation they told me that they were nationally accredited and not regionally and that many schools might not accept the transfer credits to finish my bsn in the future. That was a big Flag for me since my ultimate goal is to continue to get my MSN.
    Hope this helped!
I also live in the San Bernardino area and we don't have a lot of options and I have been up and down the surrounding counties trying to find the best option. It doesn't hurt anything to research around. I also recently went to inquire to West Coast University about their BSN program that will start next month and will be done in 3 years and their program costs about 36,000 a year = to over 100,000 for the full BSN. I realized that was not the route I wanted to take. My financial way of seeing it is that I want to become a nurse to have financial stability and not end up paying so much afterwards. Reduce the debt instead of adding more to it.:typing

    Hey there,

So heres what I know, and Ive been digging for info about this school because I plan to apply for the july start.
    1. They are expensive but if you have completed A&P you will most likely not have to do it there, which will cut down the cost.
    2. I plan to do student loans. There are lots of ways to have student loans paid back for you. (If you agree to work for LA county for 2 yrs, you can get 60% paid off for you, 3 yrs up to 85%)
    3. Right now in LA county, RNs are being paid enough so that after two years of working as an RN, itll be worth it.

I still need to go to the info session in Feb and ask tons more questions. I know that they are endorsed by the ca board of registered nurses which is good. Im a solid student and dont want to wait to get into school, especially when im looking at lotteries and waiting lists for the next yr or so.

If anyone has any other info it would be much appreciated!

I am planning on taking a full load this summer and fall at Citrus, Mt.Sac, or PCC lol- I applied to all 3, just waiting to pick my classes. If you could help me with this that would be great.
