Does anyone have any advice on LPN pay here in Florida?

Hi there! I was looking for advice on how much an LPN makes on average here in Orlando, FL. I have been doing some research about the average pay for a new nurse and it varies. Please share any advice that you can and thank you.

I work about an hour north of Orlando. I moved here in 2005. Home health/hospital paid $14.50/hr. Moved to hospice for $16/hr. Left hospice 4 years later at 19.00/hr. Worked home health and got $25/visit. Now I work for the school and make $16.55 but it's so much better than any of the jobs listed above.

BTW - I graduated in '03 and left Massachusetts making $19.00, right out of school.

I seem to keep going down in salary, not up, but at least I love my job!

I am relocating to Palm Coast Fl, that is 30 minutes south of St Augustine. I am seeking employment in a nursing home. I wonder how much that would pay? Are there Baylor weekends in Florida? How do they work??

I am from Ct and here we do 2 twelve hour shifts to get a 40 hour check for doing the Baylor weekend

Mrsearky2009 if i may ask what LPN school did you attend in orlando? im very interested in an LPN program.
