Have been hearing that BC will be requiring math prerequisite and may be dropping Chemistry pre-req for nursing program for students starting Jan 2013. Please post any specific information you have received from the school. I have emailed them but have not heard back. The people on the phone are not exactly sure what's going to happen.

Did anyone submitted their app yet? Deadline is September 15 and my status hasn't changed yet, I thought it would of said processed by now.

I submitted my application today. Fingers crossed. :) I think they will change the status after the deadline (Sept 15).

How was the hesi exam experience? Just curious because I have been studying my butt off out of nervousness.

I had to take my hesi twice. The first time I failed the vocabulary part, but made all 90's on the other subjects. I retook the vocab. portion last Friday and passed with a 90.

The first time I studied only from the hesi review book, and read notes from my anatomy class about the endocrine system. I got a 96 on that section. if you did well on your AP classes just do a quick review, but if you don't then I suggest that you read a lot specially AP 1 and the endocrine system.

Math is basically conversions, fractions, ration....if you do all the exercises from the book you will do fine.

Grammar and reading were easy and English is not my first language. The first time I took the hesi I don't think the words on the vocab. part were from the book, maybe 3 or 4 were. But, the second time I guess most of the words were the ones from the book. I don't know maybe for an native American that section will be easier, but it wasn't for me.

I also failed the vocab too, I retook it an received an 88. Some of the words on there I never seen before, and I was born here.

Thanks for sharing your experience...Your scores are very good, since I never took that hesi I really don't know what to expect, but just what your shared gave me some insight on what I need to focus on. It's so funny that the vocabulary words in the book are so general and vague that it would be somewhat pointless to study them unless you have a very well word bank in your brain too know and understand every word in-order to pass that section. I hope to do my best to do well on this exam so I can take the pressure and added stress off my shoulders. Thanks again and wish you the best.

Hey guys, I submitted my application on Monday. My status says "application and review" and it shows that I got awarded points, which is weird since I thought they weren't using points anymore.

mine didnt change yet:unsure:

Mine hasn't change and I dropped it off two weeks ago. What campus did you drop off your application?

Wow-a 96 on the Hesi A&P. That's really great. I got straight As in A&P I and II and labs and got a 75. Then got an 85 when I took it again - enough to meet the cut off but not great. :(

Did get 90s on all other Hesi tests the first time so I'm happy with those. Really getting nervous now about admission decision though. I have worked hard and am so ready to start. Good luck to all of you!

Central. What does yours say?

I submitted it though Central as well. It just said applied, and I don't see any points awarded.
