Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

Congrats on your acceptance! I will be purchasing the HESI book this week and begin studying, so I can take the test for this August program. Hopefully I get accepted fingers crossed :)

Thanks Stooshy! That book is very helpful! You'll do fine! Just study! Good luck! :)

Hello....

I was also accepted into the program for May and deferred my seat to August. I will be attending North Campus, have you started your certifications, background check etc.?

Hi there! Congrats! Do you live near North campus? I hear people pick North because it's better but I'll have a newborn so staying closer to home is more convenient for me. I already got all my certifications and everything else done already, just nedd to turn it in whenever they tell us to. It didn't take long at all.

I live like 10-15 minutes away from North Campus so its more convenient for me, I also heard its better than the others but we will see. I haven't done any of my certifications as yet, I will be getting them done soon. Where did u do your certifications?

I did all mine on ceufast.com. $30 and you can get them all done!

For my science classes my GPA is only a 3.0, and I am seeing previous students with a higher gpa. I am worried, will that be enough to get me a seat? I am going to try and aim high on the test. I am also going tomorrow to north campus to purchase the HESI book, so anxious.

I got in and my GPA was 3.0. I also did not have Hosa! So my total score was a 6. So have some faith! :)

Hello and Congrats to All who have been accepted. Can anyone tell me if BC sell the same Hesi study guide just like the one you can purchase on Amazon OR does BC have their own generic Hesi study guide? Thanks for any reply...

Yes they do I thinks it's around $30. I know central has it. Maybe you could call the campus bookstore that's closes to you?

Hello Everyone!

I was also accepted for the May 2012 term and deferred my seat till August because of North campus not being available for this summer term. Congrats to all that were accepted and Good Luck to all applying! I already have all my certifications completed and am anxiously waiting till orientation again to obtain all the necessary paperwork for the background check and medical records. When I spoke to Health Admissions last week at North campus she was unsure of when orientation would be, but said most likely around mid July. I'm excited, nervous, and everything in between. Same feelings I had when I was going through the application process. I plan to purchase the books required in advance to get ahead in the readings since I will not be attending school this summer. What are everyone else's plans as we wait for classes to start in August???
