Broward College August 2011

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

At least for South Campus the class that started in August 2011 finshes May 2013....

Aug-Dec = Process 1 and 2

Jan-May = GiGu and Psych

May-Aug = OB and our break

Aug-Dec = Peds and Ortho

Jan-May = Cardio and Trends

And of course all these classes are taken with a lab as well.

Same for North Campus, except the specialities (OB, Psych, Peds) come in whatever order you sign up for.

I have a dilemma... I was accepted to the May 2012 nursing program and was looking forward to starting at North. But, looks like the professor is taking the summer off so I'm forced to go to Central or South or wait until August to start at North. I'm torn on what to do. I would like to know how those in each campus are doing and any advice them may have... Also, what hospitals does each campus round? Thanks for any input

Anyone hear that there is a new peds book for Fall 2012? North campus has a new instructor and there is no word on anything.

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone has any tips on passing nursing process 1? Because we've just taken our first test and I failed with a 30/50 and now need at least a 41 on the next two test to pass. So any tips would be very helpful.... thanks :)
