Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your help. Also, what books do you recommend I buy to begin to study Pharm and Math?? How do I choose what campus I am going to? I am going to south campus but how doess BCC know that? What campus do you go to? What teachers do you recommend?

You pick your campus the day you register for your first nursing class. At that point BC will consider you a south campus nursing student. (Make sure you register the very minute the registration is open because south and central fill up fast--less seats available at that campus).

I know Leavingteaching will be around again sometime soon to answer you, but she goes to North campus. I'm not sure she knows much about the teachers at south.

Newgoal has a sister in the program at south (and another one that who was accepted for May but deferred to Aug), so she might have some info as to how to prepare for pharm at south. At north, we don't even need to buy a book. The professor has slides and the course is based on that. He also teaches at central. There's a woman who teaches at central, too but I think that class is online only. I think you might be able to take her and still go to south, but that I am not sure of.

As far as picking professors......its not like regular classes where there are 10 professors to choose from. Unfortunately, there is just usually one choice for each nursing course. I guess there may be times that there may be two, but I think for the most part you are stuck with who you get.

I just checked the nursing classes online and it looks like south just has one profesor for each course.

Central has 3 professors to choose from for nursing process 1 and 2 but all the other courses except pysch seem to have only have one to pick from.

hey where did you find that?

I went to the registration page, put NUR in the Course ID/Number section, and then under campus I put HSC South and searched. All nursing classes showed up. then I did the same for HSC Central.

:yeahthat::yeahthat:

you may need to buy the pharm book. pharm is a "real" class on south campus. so, you'll probable have to read and study. on north and central campus, if you study the notes and review the study guide, you can get an a. math is basic ratios and proportions. i didn't buy the math book, but you have to decide how strong you are mathematically.

Fated- you said you got a message saying "Accepted into Limited Access Program". My friend said she got the same thing, but she said something about having a second screen that just said Accepted. I only have one screen....I was wondering if you had one or two screens, too. I have no idea what she meant.

I also have two screen. On my first screen it said " Accepted into Limited Access Program" on the the second it has status and "accepted". Don't worry about it too much. Your friend should be acceptedd into the program for sure.

I'm not worried about that part too much....I'm just confused by the 2 screens, lol. If I log into my BC from the front page, would that be the first page? Under what section does it say "Accepted into the Limited Access Program"? I don't see anything with the words accepted or limited access program until I click on the link at the bottom marked Limited Access Application Status --on the My BC homepage under all the boxes (financial aid, registration, grades, transcripts, etc.).

I know it doesn't mean anything, I'm just trying to figure out how I am missing this other screen, lol.

leavingteaching, is it somewhat harder at south??

leavingteaching, is it somewhat harder at south??

i would say yes as far as pharm. from what i've heard, south instructors mainly present case studies during lecture, whereas the other campuses actually lecture. can't say for sure though.

Does anyone know how long orientation is???

I wanted to sign up for the AIDS/HIV course and its that same day July 9th at 5:00 pm and I was wondering if I was going to be able to make it since orientation for me is at 2:00 pm.
