Anyone Trying To Get Into Atlantic, Sheridan, or Mcfatter 2012-2013?

In broward county? Or am I the only one? I see the last thread on either one of these schools was from 2011. I'm trying to get into mcfatter for Novembers start date. Orientation was supposed to be Monday but was cancelled due to the storm. So now it's on September 10th. I'm afraid a lot of people may be applying. And that I may not get on. :( was thinking about emailing the counselor and asking her how many they admit each time.

I know it's crazy! So nervous and thank u I appreciate age it although ill probably be using my friends books. Do u guys have another orientation? I don't remember seeing it in the letter. If so when is it?

No. They do it different from mcfatter. They go through policy and uniform talk BEFORE you get accepted. And of course I never went to their orientation so they gave me a quick run through. Uniforms are now all purple so I can't use my friends old uniform. I'm getting more nervous as the days go. Lol

Sorry guys! I wrote back but it never sent! First day was easy we only stayed til 11. Core is online so we only meet in class once a week until core is finished. We have 22 tests to finish in 15 days. They're open book and very short. So u DEF need the core book. We start going to class dec 11 m-f. We have a portfolios ur with a mission statement cover letter and resume which we use throughout the entire program. Our teacher is great she comes off as mean but she's really nice. She's an army nurse. Haven't really done anything else to know much about the program but core is super easy! It's almost ur first day! Are u prepared? Nervous? I know Atlantic is more strict so u have to keep me up to date with everything that goes on I'm curious!

So is the core book something I can borrow? (Cause im thinking its like a workbook?)Or do I have to buy it? And about how many people are in your class?

No it's not really a workbook it's a text book it has pages u write on at the end of each chapter but mine was already filled in. Didn't make a difference. And we have about 22 right now and she said she still has some coming in for the start of block 1 and then some come in at the end of block 1so about 30 ish well have.

Ok thanks! So you got your book used then? I'm Assuming they're using the same books from last class and didn't change them. Because I plan on burrowing my friends.

Yeah I'm using my friends I also have her BSF book (body structure function) but for the fundamentals book it comes with a workbook so u can't really barrow it cause there's no way to just get the workbook or maybe u can find it online not 100% sure

Ok thanks. Yeah I saw someone selling g the workbook online. So you bought the fundamentals book?

No they don't allow u to buy anything until u NEED It. Since we start fundamentals dec 12 we can't buy then until dec 11 until our core grades are in and we passed. It's so dumb because its going to be so packed and possibly sold out

That's dumb but kind of smart. They don't want you to waste your money. Atlantic wants you to have all block 1's books in the first day if class. Smh. Thank god I'm borrowing. And I can't believe the first day we have to wear uniforms. This year they have now changed it to all purple.
