Anyone applied to UF's accelerated BSN?

I applied to UF's accelerated BSN program for Summer 2009. The application deadline passed 2 weeks ago, and I am anxiously awaiting a reply. I hate waiting! If anyone has been through the program, I was wondering if you remembered when you found out if you got in or not. Is anyone out there also waiting to find out if you got into the program?

I saw a couple people mentioning buying books: I was planning on selling mine to the used bookstore but if you can get them in the next couple days (before Wednesday afternoon), send me a PM and we can set something up. I'm pretty flexible on price. You can see them and make an offer.

I still have all the summer books, as well as the med-surg book and research book for the fall and the Peds/OB book for the spring. (And you don't have to want them all, obviously)

I also have a lot of small-medium scrubs and a pair of size 7 white shoes I'm giving away for free.

If you still have scrubs to give away, I'd like them. I haven't gone uniform shopping yet but my budget is kind of tight so I could definitely use them...thanks.

Hello....allnurses won't let me PM yet, so I think this is my 15th post and should allow me to PM. If not, my e-mail is [email protected] if mcs1505 or anyone else needs to send me a message.

Hi everyone, I probably should have posted this earlier, but really didnt think of it until recently, but my parents have two apartments at campus edge they are looking to rent out. One is furnished and the other is not; campus edge is pretty close to the CON. If anyone is interested, call Theresa at 352-378-5801

M-TH 10am to 4PM.

Thanks a bunch MCS1505. Good to know.

Oh yeah, Campus Edge is really close! What size are the apartments?

Hey mcs1505,

Do you still have books? Can I have dibs if no one is in front of me? ;)

I am pretty sure they are both 1 bedroom.

I sent out emails to those who inquired about books, I do still have them.

I made the mistake of searching for all white shoes, but once we started I realized that most instructors don't care if they're all white. A little bit of color like the Nike logo is ok. Now that I work I just wear athletic shoes with good insoles. Shoes really seems to be a personal preference, some wear the traditional nursing clogs and most wear athletic shoes. One thing I would warn against is Crocs. Those were the only shoes that some teachers had problems with, because of the holes.

If money is tight, you don't need a lot of scrubs for the first semester. I had one white top and two pairs of white pants, since you only have clinical once a week, and you're probably not going to want to wear white scrubs ever again. I had 2 solid sets of colored scrubs and 1 or 2 print tops for lab.

If you're going to buy scrubs locally, bring your student ID. Both stores in town give you a discount, I think it's 20%. Goodwill also has a section for scrubs but they are usually pretty basic and well-worn, you can also try Sandy's Consignment on 13th St.

Sorry Ty (and anyone else) but the books (and scrubs) are taken.

Hi Guys,

I just saw on ISIS that I owe $1,872.74. tuition for the summer semester. I am SO suprised to see that because I calculated the summer tuition before as $2450 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have an information about it?

I'd appreciate it if you put some information here.

Thanks.

Hi Namo, if it helps.. I calculated that tuition would be $1,762.74 based on the numbers on UF's student finances website so I'd say ~$1800 is correct. Here's the website with the amount/credit hour.
